Charles Trevelyan was born in Sydney in 1974, however he grew up in
Perth, Western Australia, going on to study Materials Engineering at
the University of Western Australia. In 2000, Charles moved to
London, initially working in graphic design. In 2005 he exhibited his
first piece, Archipelago, in Milan. Later that year, he exhibited the
Titanic lamp and Shelflife, both of which have since been widely
published. 2005 also saw him found the design studio Viable London
with Magnus Long and Gala Wright. Charles' work has been exhibited in
Milan, Tokyo, New York, and in 2006 at the Design Museum in London.
He continues to work with Viable, as well as producing works under
his own name.
